Rafael Varane has declared his intention to stay at Manchester United.

"Rafael Varane wants to stay at United after the January transfer window closes," the Manchester Evening News reported on Friday.

"Baran will only leave if United indicate they do not want him," the source added.

Varane headed to Manchester United in the summer of 2021 after enjoying a number of glorious spells at Real Madrid.

Baran has been a first-choice defender for the Red Devils, but things have not been going well for him lately. His place in the team has been shaky as he has lost out to Harry Maguire.
