The LG Twins have won four games in a row. They secured the 'El Locacion Winning Series'.

LG won 2-1 against the Lotte Giants in the regular season of the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Sajik Stadium in Busan on Nov. 11.

With the win, LG extended its winning streak to four games and secured the 'El Locacion' Winning Series. 22 wins, 18 losses, and 2 draws on the season. Lotte lost its second straight match after five straight wins. Their record is now 13-24-1-1.

Neither team was able to score easily. A tight pitching battle continued. LG struck first in the second inning. In the top of the second, Kim Bum-seok led off with a single to right. Due to the headwind, the ball fell in front of the expected spot and became a hit. Park Dong-won followed with a single to left, and Koo Bon-hyuk's sacrifice bunt attempt was hit into the infield, giving the team the perfect opportunity to load the bases.

However, with the bases loaded, Oh Ji-hwan hit a grounder to the first baseman that threw out the lead runner at home, and Shin Min-jae struck out on three pitches and Hong Chang-ki grounded out to end the threat.

Lotte also had runners on first and second in the bottom of the inning with back-to-back singles by Lee Hak-joo and Yoon Dong-hee. With the bases loaded, Reyes also failed to capitalize as he grounded out to third.

Eventually, LG took the lead. In the top of the fourth inning, Park Dong-won led off with a single to left. After some poor defense by left fielder Jeon Jun-woo, Koo Bon-hyeok hit a slash-and-run double to left field. Park Dong-won, who had started the stolen base, raced home through the third base coach's jersey to take the lead.

Lotte brought in pinch-hitter Han Dong-hee to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning. Han led off with a single to left and had a chance to steal second on a sacrifice bunt by Oh Sun-jin, but both Lee Hak-joo and Yoon Dong-hee struck out to end the threat.

LG made a run. Park Dong-won's bat spun wildly. Park led off the top of the sixth inning with a two-pitch, two-strike at-bat, hitting Wilkerson's five-pitch, 134-kilometer slider for a solo home run to left field. His fifth of the season. LG took a 2-0 lead.

Lotte answered with one out in the bottom of the sixth when Reyes walked and Jeon Jun-woo hit a line drive that nearly cleared the left-field fence, but was thwarted by a super catch by Moon Sung-joo in left field, allowing Reyes to score.

LG held on to its two-run lead, and Lotte couldn't capitalize on its chances. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Jeong Hoon, the leadoff hitter, doubled.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Lotte managed to get one run back. The leadoff hitter Yoon Dong-hee singled to right. Go Seung-min hit a line drive to the right field fence, but was thrown out at second base. LG right fielder Hong Chang-ki's pen play and throw were perfect. It put runners at first and third. After Reyes walked, Jeon Jun-woo singled to left center with runners on first and third. Pinch-hitter Kim Min-seok singled up the middle to put runners on second and third, but Yoo Kang-nam grounded out to shortstop to end the threat. LG starter Son Joo-young picked up his second win of the season with six innings of four-hit ball, one walk and seven strikeouts. At the plate, Park Dong-won went 3-for-4 with one home run, one RBI and two runs scored, while Moon Sung-ju went 2-for-4 with a double and a super catch to prevent a long ball.

Closer Yoo Young-chan came on in a tough save situation with runners on first and third in the eighth inning and gave up a run with the bases loaded to preserve the win. Lotte was unable to capitalize on its final opportunity in the ninth inning as the bottom of the lineup went lethargic.

LOTTE got a quality start from Wilkerson, who threw 109 pitches over six innings, allowing two runs on nine hits (one homer) with one walk and six strikeouts, but the offense was silent.
