There are two different ways to check for the latest firmware updates of your Linksys extender you can choose any. The first one is by using the web interface and the second one is through the Linksys WiFi app. In fact, you will have an Auto Update option for firmware, by which the app will automatically execute the process. But, for the web-based method, you will need to do that manually using http //extender.linksys.com. Once you visit the web management window you can choose the Firmware Update option under Administration and follow the screen directions to complete that.
