TORONTO CARIBANA 2022

The Caribbean Carnival visits the lovely city of Toronto every year in the summer. The month-long festivities culminate into a weekend full of action and live performances that are attended by millions of carnival-goers. It started as a single-day event and has today progressed as North America’s largest cultural carnival. This year alone, the carnival attracted 3 million tourists from all over the world.

The carnival is an ode to the culture, music, food, and costumes of the Caribbean islands. If you’re planning to attend this amazing street festival, you can expect vivacious street celebrations and Caribana-themed parties anywhere you go in the city.

These are the top experiences in Toronto Caribana that you cannot afford to miss:

  • The Grand Parade

The Grand Parade is the ultimate showdown of the carnival. In the first week of August, all bands and masqueraders come together for a street celebration with colorful floats and costumes. The celebrations start at Exhibition Place parades all the way to Lakeshore Boulevard.

  • Daylit Party

The daylit party is held every year at the Cabana Pool Bar. This daytime event is all about sipping cocktails and martinis and indulging in Caribbean delights by the poolside with private and group Cabanas.

  • King Queen Showcase

The King Queen Showcase is a costume pageantry of the top steel pan bands and masqueraders. The best-dressed performers will be adjusted as King and Queen of the carnival.
